I’m so happy to finally be reading a standalone fantasy after several series starters. There is a lot going on but sometimes the pacing was a little bit slow at times. The writing was great and flowed so well. The world building in this book is fantastic! I loved everything about it and it sucked me right in, from the very beginning. She’s questioning everything she’s ever been taught. At the same time, she’s learning that there’s more to the story. Who on earth doesn’t want to live in a magical library?! I loved how she was so adamant to do the right thing, even though it would cost her everything that she loved so desperately. I absolutely loved every moment of this story.'
